Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32th president, 1933-1945,
and wife, Eleanor. FDR was president for 4 terms,
including the majority of World War II. FDR was
stricken with polio before entering The White House.
He would later help found The March of Dimes. He
would lead The U.S. through The Great Depression,
create Social Security, The Federal Deposit Insurance
Corporation and was a staunch supporter of Unions.
He died of a stroke in Warm Springs, Georgia in 1945.
Eleanor died at 78 yrs. of bone marrow tuberculosis in 1962.
