You'd think, with 54% of Americans supporting legalization
of marijuana, it would be legal in all 50 states by now. But no!
There are major players fighting legalization tooth and nail.
Heaven forbid, a major corporation lose profit or have to
invest in a new venture, when it is so easy to fight
legalization and bribe politicians.
Big Pharma (large pharmaceutical companies) absolutely
hate marijuana. Why? In Colorado, medicinal drug sales have
dropped 23% since legalization in September 2013. Marijuana
is being used to alleviate a number of medical conditions.
According to The GAO (Government Accountability Office),
these medical conditions are treatable with marijuana:
Big Pharma sales reached One Trillion Dollars in 2014.
A potential lost of 23 billion dollars would be considered
totally unacceptable. But instead of seeing an grand
opportunity to get in on the bottom floor, Big Pharma (like
most large corporations) drags its feet, stifles progress and
pays off politicians. Democrats and republicans are both
feeding at the trough of Big Pharma, while preaching the
gospel of, "What wonderful things we're doing for America!"
Other endeavors noticeably affected by marijuana
legalization are: reductions in crime, arrests, and traffic
fatalities.Taxes collected in a 9 month period from retail
marijuana sales in Colorado, accounted for 40.9 million
If I was holding someone's assets, I would not release those
assets, until my family was freed and airborne, either.
Cudos, President Obama...
Republicans have always been about, a single mark for the
whole republican ticket, on the ballot...until now. With
Donald Trump as the head of the ticket and so many down
ballot republicans fearing for their seats, the republican party
is trying to get the courts to outlaw Party Ticket Voting. The
theory is, to make voters go through the entire ballot, office
by office and vote for each office individually. That way,
voters cannot mark the box next to The Democratic Party
and be done with it. Oh, WAAAAAAA! What a bunch of babies!
