|The developer of one of the most popular motorcycle manufacturers
of today didn't even realize that he would be responsible for the
motorcycle line when he started the company, in fact, his interest was

ethic, combined with experience with motorcycles gave him the tools
Honda started up a auto repair shop in 1928 which was used primarily
to build race cars. It was not until 1948 that he finally started the
company that we know today as Honda. Some of the first motorcycle
models that they created where 2 and 4 stroke models which were of
the highest quality and design.
The Honda motorcycle company did go through some hard times
over the next 20 years or so because of war and economic hardship,
but no matter what challenges may have been faced, they never
stopped producing. Their biggest drive was to keep the people of
their company employed.
Their successes continued as a result and by the late 50s the
company was seeing more growth and more success, especially after
the C100 Super Club was introduced. This motorcycle was believed
to be one of the most popular machines throughout the land. It was
popular because it was very affordable and could be operated by just
about anybody. This motorcycle possessed a 4 stroke engine and a 3
speed transmission, and was quite simple when it came to actually
driving it. It was a very popular choice for commuters. By now, Honda
had grown to be one of the top motorcycle manufacturers in the
|It was at this point that Honda decided to go international, with new
markets being expanded to Asia, Europe, and they also continued
their stronghold in the U.S.
Honda opened their first motorcycle shop in the California, and
followed up by opening another 75 motorcycle dealerships
throughout the United States during the year of 1960. All of these
dealerships proved to be quite successful.
|Aside from being one of the top manufacturers of motorcycles, Honda
also helped create the Motorcycle Industry Council as well as the
Motorcycle Safety Council, which was made possible by funding that
they supplied to get these organizations off the ground. This helped
to gain the trust of consumers through the U.S.
Honda continued to show great success throughout the 70s as they
produced high quality motorcycles that consumers absolutely loved
and enjoyed because of the high speed performance that they were
capable of. Their popularity soared even more when they brought out
the GL1000 Gold Wing, which was a touring bike. This motorcycle
was the leader when it came to comfortable and stylish motorcycles.
Since the introduction of the Gold Wing, Honda has become one of
the biggest producers of quality motorcycles that fit the needs of just
about every type of consumer. They have also continued to serve the
community by becoming a part of the public eye through charity
donations, special event sponsorships, and more.
|Honda has enjoyed great success because of their ability to adapt to
the market changes by producing high quality, innovative
motorcycles that are well designed and reliable. Quality is what
consumers are expecting and quality is what Honda has been
producing and are bigger than ever because of it. Sales were
up in 2016, 3%.
